Mehmet Akuğur, who is an attorney of İstanbul Bar Association, was born in 01.10.1979, İzmir. He completed his legal education in Dokuz Eylül University Law Faculty from 1997 to 2000 and took his master degree in the major of “Economy Law”, in İstanbul Bilgi University, Institute of  Social Sciences. He continues his degree of doctorate in the major of “Banking and Finance”, in İstanbul Kadir Has Universtiy , Institute of  Social Sciences since 2004.

Mehmet Akuğur started his career in Fibaholding and subsequently worked as a legal advisor in the legal departments of Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young Turkey and in the Corporate Law Department of Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş.

Mehmet Akuğur has two published legal articles, namely: “Obligation of Capital Subscription in Joint Stock Companies” and “System of Authorized Capital” as well as his two published books, these being: “Spin-off in Joint Stock Companies under Turkish Law” and “Draft Bill of Turkish Commercial Code”
